On another warm night in Newcastle the curtain came down on another Netball season and so to the hope of back to back championships. In a season littered with bitter rivalries between umpires and players repeating last seasons first place was always going to be a challenge. In the final the Hornets played out a game against last seasons finalists and friends. However it was not to be and the Hornets went down by ten.
The Hornets look to take next season off and take stock, although rumours that the GS and GD have hung up their bibs for the final time to concentrate on "proper sports" can not be confirmed nor denied.
