Despite being a big chap on delivery Alfie's weight gain over the next four weeks wasn't that flash! Starting at 4.380kg (9.65lb) he only gained 60g in the first week, 40g in the second and 20g the third! This was something we were starting to worry a little about. However a visit to the clinic today proved that things are very much back on track after Beth's sterling efforts to up production yielded results. Weighing in at 4.960kg (10.93lb) he had gained an impressive 460g (1lb+) making up for some of the slower growth weeks. He certainly seems to putting in a little spurt, he's 6cm longer than he was four weeks ago!
Inevitably as new parents we are no longer worrying about starving our baby, we are now concerned that we are over feeding him! :0)
