Knights vrs Tigers

Despite all the rain that fell and the fact that the club offices had been destroyed amazingly the game between the Knights and the Tigers went ahead. It was a nice feeling to have had a warm shower (in the bathroom not yet more rain!) and venture outside to some spells of pleasant sunshine. Brett (who seems to have had no chance of ever becoming anything but a Tigers fan judging by his family!)made all the arrangements with the tickets and we walked to the ground. It was quite amazing to still see cars washed up against walls and lamp posts during the flood. Where the stadium is situated it fairly low lying and so suffered - many houses seemed to have all their furniture outside ready for collection.

In the game itself the Tigers came out well on top. I'm not sure that Rugby League will ever replace football in my heart (although the NSW vrs Queensland series has captured my interest!) its always an enjoyable time, particularly this time as we returned to Brett's to catch up with the girls and the little chaps! We returned with food and even a bottle of wine, and we're rewarded with a dance from the girls!!! ... don't ask! :0)
