Saying goodbye to Nan and Gramps

There were sad faces all around this morning as the Walkers and the Iveys said goodbye to Nan and Gramps Walker. After one last breakfast together - all hands to the pump... Matt and I outside cooking bacon on the BBQ, everyone else in the kitchen which was a hive of activity - we took Jean and John to the station as they make their way home to England. We have certainly appreciated having them both here for their support (which we don't feel we would have coped without!) and energy around the house! At times they have endured terrible working condition's doing all those important little jobs that we just didn't find the time to do, washing, cooking, cleaning, decorating and climbing up onto the garage roof to clear leaves from the gutter!

It will certainly be tough without them here and Alfie will miss their cuddles, songs and conversation too! Hopefully it won't be too long before they return although we know it might be a while as they have spent the five of the last six months here during their two visits.

Wishing them both a safe journey home... one advantage for any blog fans out there is that there will be no slacking on the updates now that they are in the UK, in fact I will need to up production as they will want to be informed of every cough, sneeze, gurgle, coo & poo! :0)
