Son in the Sun!

Under my intensive ICT training regime Beth gets better on her computer by the week. I think that being here has forced her into the twenty first century, embracing modern forms of communication! However with her all new message board log in, lengthy emails, Skype and Facebook page comes risk, Beth has discovered that there are many ways to shop online without even leaving the house. Late yesterday a parcel arrived (not uncommon - normally for Alfie!) and it was for Beth (..but contents for Alfie!)

Look what was inside!




A lack of a dreadlocks wig in the bag suggests that this isn't part of a Stevie Wonder fancy dress costume they are in fact baby sunglasses! I guess we do need to take protecting his eyes seriously (hard to while he's wearing them!!!) ... they are actually looking to make sunglasses part of school uniform here in many schools.

I only have two points to make:

i, "When I were a lad...." I never had sunglasses and the sun was much hotter and shone all the time in those days.
ii, Swimming goggles would have been more useful with the weather as it is at the moment. :0)
