Is Beth really going to eat Alfie?

While in the office (dining room!) working I started to become distracted with the sound of cooing, slurping, sucking and kissing from the living room. I went to investigate and found a sleeping Alfie (rare during day... 7 hours at night is his record!) being smothered by Beth. They are inseparable at the moment, even had a bath together this evening (Beth says I should have videoed it... not sure it was Blog appropriate!!!!!).

More worrying is that Beth says she could "eat him" and regularly threatens him with the words "Mummy's gonna eat you up!" I've had a word with Alfie and explained that it is because mummy loves Alfie and that this is her way of showing it!

He is a real star and is settling very quickly at night and the days of having to rock him to sleep in your arms before performing the "slide your arm away slowly" trick are long gone ... touch wood!

Yes, Beth should eat Alfie if she knows whats good for her... and Alfie. Alfie's protein is madeup of just the right balance of amino acids to make him the perfect food for breastfeeding mums. So maybe just gobble up something non-essential (a toe, an earlobe). Its a sacrifice worth making for the other bits of him.
